Abstract

• In June 2021, there have been no foreign tourist visits (tourists) to South Sumatra through the entrance to Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport Palembang due to the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

• The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star hotels in South Sumatra in June 2021 was recorded at 53.42 percent, or an increase of 9.87 points compared to the TPK for hotels in May 2021 which was 43.55 percent.

• The highest ROR for star hotels in June 2021 occurred in five-star hotels by 65.81 percent and the lowest in one-star hotels by 21.72 percent.

• The average length of stay of all star hotel guests in June 2021 was recorded at 1.42 days, a decrease of 0.29 days compared to May 2021 which was 1.71 days.

• The average length of stay of foreign guests in June 2021 was 2.66 days, a decrease of 1.03 days compared to May 2021 which was 3.69 days and the average length of stay of domestic guests in June 2021 was 1.42 days, down 0.29 days compared to May 2021 which was 1.71 days.
