LAHAT DISTRICT BPS ATTENDED THE DISSEMINATION OF LAHAT ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION RESEARCH RESULTS

Tuesday (21/05), following up on the invitation from the Institute for Essential Service Reform (IESR) Number: 377/IESR/V/PM-SEA/SEA/202, BPS Lahat Regency was present at the dissemination of research results on Lahat economic transformation at the Santika Lahat Hotel. This activity is a presentation of the results of economic transformation research that has been carried out by IESR in Lahat Regency.

In the presentation session, Dr. M. Subardin, SE, M.Si as the chief expert with the Sriwijaya University research team conveyed several important points, including: the contribution of coal to the economy and development, leading economic sectors that have the potential to replace the coal mining sector, and the results of economic transformation studies in Lahat Regency.

The results of IESR research show that Lahat Regency must start making an energy transition in 2024/2025 and balance the downstreaming of Regional Featured Commodities and Products (KPUD) to anticipate the effects of the transition in the form of a decrease in economic added value.
