HEAD OF BPS LAHAT DISTRICT ATTENDED ROUTINE TPID RAKOR IN THE FIRST WEEK OF MARCH 2024

On Wednesday (13/3), Head of BPS Lahat Regency, Muhammad Dedy, S.ST, M.Sc. attend the Regional Inflation Control Team Coordination Meeting (Rakor TPID). The coordination meeting which was held in the Operation Room of the Lahat Regional Secretariat was led by the Acting Regent of Lahat, Muhammad Farid, S.STP., M.Si. and attended by Forkopimda, Assistants and Heads of related OPDs in the Lahat Regency Government.

This TPID Coordination Meeting began by witnessing a presentation regarding national inflation developments through a zoom meeting with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Central BPS, Ministry of Trade, and related Ministries/Institutions, followed by a discussion regarding the condition of price developments in Lahat Regency.

On this occasion, the Head of BPS Lahat Regency said that the IPH of Lahat Regency in the first week of March 2024 increased to number 2 highest in South Sumatra, with rice as the main cause. Apart from that, it also provides information regarding the phenomenon of decreasing Fixed Figures (ATAP) of harvest area and rice production for Lahat Regency from 2022 to 2023, as well as suggestions for improving the type or quality of recorded rice commodities so that the resulting data can describe conditions in the field.

With the TPID Coordination Meeting which is held regularly every week, it is hoped that strategic steps can be taken to control inflation in Lahat Regency.
