HEAD OF LAHAT DISTRICT BPS ATTENDED THE FKP RANWAL RPJPD AND RKPD OF LAHAT DISTRICT

Hello #SahabatData, Monday (19/02), Head of BPS Lahat Regency, Muhammad Dedy, S.ST., M.Si. attended the Public Consultation Forum (FKP) Preliminary Draft (Ranwal) of the Long Term Regional Development Plan (RPJPD) for Lahat Regency for 2025-2045 and the Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) for Lahat Regency for 2025. Present was the PJ Regent of Lahat, Muhammad Farid, S.STP , M.Sc. , the ranks of Forkopimda Lahat Regency, Heads of Divisions, Heads of Departments within the Regional Government of Lahat Regency and District Heads throughout Lahat Regency.



The event was opened by the Acting Regent of Lahat, Muhammad Farid, S.STP, M.Si, followed by presentations by the Head of Bappeda and the Head of Planning, Bappeda, Lahat Regency. The RPJPD is a description of the Regional Government's goals in the form of a vision, mission and direction of regional development for the next 20 years, while the RKPD is a Regional Government planning document for a one year period.



In the discussion session, the Head of BPS Lahat Regency expressed his views on the economic structure of Lahat Regency which still relies on the capital-intensive sector (mining and quarrying), but this sector is not optimal in absorbing Lahat Regency's workforce. To increase the rate of economic growth, Regional Governments must start to mobilize labor-intensive sectors such as the processing industry and combine them with capital-intensive sectors.



After the event, the Head of BPS Lahat Regency attended an invitation to a luncheon with the Acting Regent of Lahat and Forkopimda, on the sidelines of the meal the Head of BPS Lahat Regency discussed with the Acting Regent of Lahat and Forkopimda regarding handling strategic issues in Lahat Regency. In the future, hopefully the Lahat Regency BPS strategic data will increasingly become a reference in preparing the Lahat Regency RPJPD and RKPD.
