BPS KABUPATEN LAHAT ATTENDED FGD WITH BAPPEDA AND IESR

Tuesday (6/2), Head of BPS Lahat Regency, Muhammad Dedy, S.ST., M.Si. attended a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with Bappeda and the Institute for Essential Service Reform (IESR) at the Bappeda office. IESR is a research and advocacy institution that focuses on energy and environmental issues. IESR is also actively driving the transformation towards a low-carbon and sustainable energy system.

This FGD was carried out in the context of consultation regarding the study being carried out by IESR in Lahat Regency with the title "Economic Modeling of Lahat Regency towards Energy Transition and Downstreaming of Regional Featured Commodities and Products (KPUD)". Dr. M. Subardin, SE, M.Si as chief expert, Dr. Imam Asngari, SE, M.Si as a member of the expert staff and the team conveyed the anticipation that Lahat Regency needs to take to address the impact of the energy transition on the economy of Lahat Regency.

On this occasion, the Head of BPS Lahat explained the Strategic Data for Lahat Regency consisting of Economic Growth, Poverty Profile, Employment Profile, Results of the 2023 Agricultural Census, Price Development Index (IPH) and Human Development Index (IPM). It is hoped that this Strategic Data will become supporting material for the study being carried out by IESR and of course as a basis for determining policies that will be implemented by the Lahat Regency Regional Government.

Hopefully in the future this collaboration will continue to be improved, so that the use of data can be optimized because building is expensive, but building without data is more expensive.
