THE HEAD OF LAHAT DISTRICT BPS WAS ATTENDED AT THE FOOD AID DISTRIBUTION RATIONALE

On Tuesday (23/1), Head of BPS Lahat Regency, Muhammad Dedy, S.ST, M.Si. attended the Coordination Meeting for the Distribution of Food Aid from the National Food Agency in 2024 Phase I. The coordination meeting which was held in the Operation Room of the Lahat Regional Secretariat was chaired by the Acting Regent of Lahat, Muhammad Farid, S.STP., M.Sc. and attended by the heads of departments and representatives of the relevant Lahat Regency OPD.

This coordination meeting was carried out before executing the assistance program. This activity began with a technical presentation from the Head of Bappeda Lahat and the Team, followed by the Head of the Perum Bulog Lahat branch office. The main discussion is related to the use of data for the Targeting the Acceleration of Elimination of Extreme Poverty (P3KE) and the Integrated Social Welfare Fund (DTKS) as data sources for determining beneficiary recipients provided they have By Name By Address (BNBA) and Population Identification Number (NIK) data.

On this occasion, the head of BPS Lahat Regency expressed his views regarding the positive implications of the food aid program in reducing the burden of expenditure on the poor and its relation to measuring poverty through Susenas activities in February-March 2024.

The event ended with directions and PJ Regent of Lahat, Muhammad Farid, S.STP, M.Si. In his speech, PJ Regent of Lahat invited all parties to have the same perception in responding to this assistance program, especially the sub-district head as the leading sector. At the end of his speech, PJ Regent Lahat also conveyed to all parties to oversee the process of distributing food aid as well as overseeing the 2024 Susenas activities so that they run well and in accordance with existing conditions.
