DATA COLLECTION OF RURAL PRICE SURVEY (SHPED) JANUARY 2024

Hi #sahabatdata, the Rural Price Survey (SHPED) is conducted by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) regularly every month including monitoring the development of agricultural commodity prices along with the prices of production factors used by farmers from the production side and monitoring the development of prices of goods and services consumed by households in rural areas from the consumption side.

The purpose of collecting data on producer prices in the agricultural sector in rural areas is to obtain data on producer prices in the agricultural sector, obtain data on the price of production costs and mining of capital goods in the agricultural sector, and obtain supporting data for calculating the Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) in each subsector of food crops, horticulture, community plantation crops, animal farm, fisheries, and forestry.

In January 2024, BPS Lahat Regency has implemented SHPED in 10 sub-districts sampled. This activity is expected to monitor the development of prices of goods and services properly and accurately in order to obtain reliable and representative NTP figures.
