Public Consultation Forum for the Preparation of Regional Development Plans (RPD) for Lahat Regency

On Wednesday (18/01) a Public Consultation Forum for the Preparation of the 2024-2026 Lahat District Regional Development Plan (RPD) was held at the Lahat District Government Meeting Building. The activity was opened by the Regional Secretary of Lahat Regency and was attended by the Head of the South Sumatra Regional Development Planning Agency, the Head of the Regency Development Planning Lahat, representatives from Forkopimda elements, all OPD, community leaders, religious leaders, and the media.

Based on the evaluation presented by Bappeda Lahat, the development goals for Lahat Regency in the 2024-2026 RPD are the achievement of an inclusive economy, development of a competitive quality of life for the community, mitigation of environmental degeneration, and transformation of governance management and public services with integrity.

Representatives from BPS Kabupaten Lahat who also attended the forum conveyed the following:

a. Based on the 2024-2026 target relating to mining and plantation potential in Kab. Lahat needs support or escort from the Regional Government to improve the bargaining position of BPS Lahat Regency so that the data obtained by BPS can be submitted in real time.

b. Desa Cantik is not an activity program, but an effort to increase understanding or data literacy in the community. A legal umbrella is needed for Beautiful Village in the form of a District Head's Decree so that statistical communities can be developed under it.

c. BPS continues to support sectoral statistics so that it is hoped that OPD programs or activities will be based on phenomena and data
