Collaboration to Alleviating Poverty

On Wednesday (4/1), BPS Kabupaten Lahat held an audience with the Regent of Lahat, Cik Ujang, S.H. at the Lahat District Government office. At the hearing, the Regional Secretary of the Lahat Regency, the Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of the Lahat Regency, and the Head of the Lahat Regency Communication and Information Service were also present.

The aim of the audience was to convey information related to the Human Development Index (IPM) and Poverty Rate in Lahat District. In 2022, the Human Development Index (IPM) of Lahat Regency will increase by 68.40 or grow 1.21 percent. BPS Kabupaten Lahat also reported that the poverty rate for Lahat Regency had decreased by 0.85 percent in one year, from 16.46 percent to 15.61 percent.

The Regent of Lahat said that based on the results of the increase in the HDI and the decrease in the poverty rate, synergy was needed from the Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD)/relevant agencies in the Lahat Regency area. This synergy can be realized through collaborative programs and activities so that all elements can join hands to eradicate poverty in Lahat District.
